media update: February
Asterisks denote something I particularly enjoyed or found especially worthy of my time; double asterisks are reserved for the creme de la creme. As always, your mileage may vary.

MOVIES
1. Last Night in Soho*: An aspiring fashion designer (Thomasin McKenzie) begins seeing visions of a beautiful woman (Anya Taylor-Joy) whose swinging life in the sixties turns into a nightmare. Cleverly done.
2. Nightmare Alley: A carny (Bradley Cooper) becomes rich and famous by pretending to have psychic powers, but he bites off much more than he can chew. Absolutely gorgeous to look at, and the cast is great, but I'm not sure why this got a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
3. The King's Man: The origin story of the Kingsman organization. Not as exciting or as wacky as its predecessors.
